Bursary for Nigel As most of you know, we've been asking opinions and doing some research over the past couple of months about setting up a bursary in Nigel's name at Falmouth. The money would be used to fund disadvantaged students: a way of remembering Nigel by helping others do something he really enjoyed. Obviously different people feel differently: some people loved the idea, others expressed reservations but there were enough people interested in contributing to make it viable, so we've moved ahead with the idea. Of course there is absolutely no obligation to take part in this bursary. You will be able to pay money in anonymously over a bank counter, and no lists of contributions or anything like that will be circulated. We have spoken to Falmouth and now have an account set up so that we can collect money and donate it to them once a year. We expect to send them a cheque in October/November time, so that they can award it to a suitable applicant. Depending on how you all feel, the plan is to continue this in the future, once a year. If it gets to the stage where we are no longer collecting enough to give as a bursary we'll again canvas opinions on how to proceed. The exact way the bursary is awarded we will arrange with Falmouth a little nearer the time, when we know how much is collected. If you are interested in receiving further details, including the bank account details please enter your email address below. You are then sent an email which contains a link you must click to be added to the list.
Joining the mailing list does not commit you to contributing to the bursary!
We will be sure to keep everyone posted on how much is raised each year, how the bursary is awarded and any other information as the fund progresses. Please do forward this link to anyone who you think would be interested - we don't have everyone's email; also, please let us know of anyone who isn't on email but may like to contribute. If you need any more information please click on our names below to email us! Thanks,
